Saco, ME – Peter Schroeter, managing partner of Smith Elliott Smith & Garmey, P.A., announced this morning that the firm has contributed $1000 to help fund Music on Main Street, a series of five weekly lunchtime concerts.
"This is a nice idea. It perfectly punctuates the vision that both Biddeford and Saco have for their Main Streets, namely, it helps turn them into places that people gather,” Schroeter said. "We feel that our firm is truly a ‘Main Street law firm,’ so supporting this was an easy call. And it’s all for a great cause.”
Country-flavored singer/songwriter Dan Morgan will perform at tomorrow's concert, which starts at 11:30 a.m. Tomorrow's proceeds will benefit the Bon Appetite Food Pantry. Earlier shows have raised over $1000 each for City Theater and McArthur Library.
Music on Main Street is a series of free lunchtime concerts in the park adjacent to Biddeford Savings Bank at 254 Main Street in Biddeford.
